Just as the activities marking the exit of Olubadan entered eight days today, a pan Yoruba Socio-cultural Group, Yoruba Youth Forum, YYF, has described Oba Saliu Adetunji as a man who brought peace and development to Ibadanland. The Group in a press release by its President-General, Comrade Abiodun Bolarinwa described the late Olubadan as a father of all whose reign brought peace and development to Ibadanland. "The late Olubadan was a very progressive traditional ruler who brought peace, stability and development to Ibadanland. He was a traditional ruler who cherished generosity, peace, tolerance and devotion to unity." Speaking further, Comrade Bolarinwa stated that the death of Oba Saliu Adetunji was a personal loss to him and Yoruba Youth Forum, YYF, because according to him, the monarch was like a father and mentor who was always very supportive of the youths irrespective of their ethnic backgrounds.
"The entire members of the Yoruba Youth Forum, YYF, use this medium to pray to Almighty Allah to grant Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aljanah Firdaus. May the good Lord also give his immediate family, Olori Rashidat Ololade Adetunji, Taiwo, others and the entire people of Ibadanland, the fortitude to beat the great loss."
