Who owns the "Ghanama" song between King Monada & Makhadzi?

The relationship between King Monada and Makhadzi goes a long way back to the independent days. They used to make songs together before fame and most people knew Makhadzi through King Monada. King Monada was once signed under Open Mic Productions and released hit songs like "Ska Bhora Moreki" and "Chiwana". King Monada, whose real name is Khutso Steven Kgatle, decided to go independent again after releasing his debut album "Molamo" under Open Mic. Since then, people started assuming that King terminated his contract Open Mic Productions which also signed the likes of Master KG & Nomcebo.

Fans were very surprised when Makhadzi & Prince Benza did a live video on Facebook while they were at King Monada Music's studio. Makhadzi & Prince Benza was performing at Village Lifestyle in Relela outside Tzaneen then decided to go to King Monada's place after the performance. Apparently, Prince Benza made a beat on the spot then that's when Makhadzi came up with the "Ghanama" concept. The concept is similar to that of King Monada's hit single titled "Malwedhe". The fans believed that this song will take them back to the old days but they were surprised by King Monada & Makhadzi's posts the following day.

King Monada published "Makhadzi & King Monada ft. Prince Benza - Ghanama" then Makhadzi put it this way; "Makhadzi ft. King Monada & Prince Benza - Ghanama", that's when the confusion started. Fans started asking for clarity because the song was trending on TikTok and other social media platforms. It seemed like they were fighting for the song. Later that day, Makhadzi published a statement saying that she owns the song and she came up with the concept then King Monada wrote his verse after she came up with the concept. King Monada did a live video talking explaining how the song came about and why he believed that the song is theirs and not Makhadzi's. Makhadzi also made a live video telling their fans her side of the story.

Their live videos divided their fans, everyone was fighting for their favourites until they cleared the air the next day and acted like they were on the same page. On the 7th of July 2021 Makhadzi made a live video playing the final version without King Monada's verse. The fans were divided again and King Monada's fans are not happy about the release of the song without King Monada's verse.

The song was first made at King Monada Music's studio using his equipment and he said that he contributed to the production of the beat. Makhadzi said the song is hers and she has the right to release it without King Monada's verse but they are on good terms. Do you think this is a start of a new war? I believe that King is not happy about this wherever he is. This song was supposed to be the next song of the year to come out of Limpopo.

This song is out anyway, there's nothing we can do.
