The person wey talk say ''eko ni baje'' never see Eko now. School and family has taken me around Nigeria but this Lagos own is too much. People have been saying a lot about Lagos but I thought they were all exaggerating their stories to sound good, but it has all been true so far.
I entered Lagos second week of November to follow the Lagos dream we have created in west Africa, the equivalent of the American dream. The traffic was really terrible as I have been told. It started at longbridge, and I spent 4 hours from there to berger. That night I arrived after 11pm, to wake up the next morning by 5 to get to town for work.
For now I manage as a Cashier for a classy thrift store known as Ijk London with the instagram handle ''@ijklondonstores'' at surulere, 99 Itire road, Surulere, Lagos. It is a thrift store that sells clothes, jewelry, toys, shoes and lots more from N100 and above, the cheapest prices affordable to man. You may not have heared or visited the shop but its a place to be especially for tChristmas. Economy hard o and the best place to shop this season for the cheapest and quality wares you can think of you is there. If you are close by or drive by or even walk by I'd advice you to check it out.
So, I was saying I work at surulere, and I always board a bus to Ikeja at Ojuelegba. On the first day I boarded one going home I realized that lagoshians are mad people and I don't mean that jokingly.
These my country people are mad, angry, vexed and they know how to insult. Every time I enter bus, passengers must fight themselves or the driver or the conductor, which sometimes is very hilarious. The bus I entered on tuesday, the day after had some mad people in it as well and I don't know why the drivers always lie about their final bus stops and this was the foundation of the argument.
Most cars bash each other in a day, so if you are hoping to buy a car in lagos or bring one here prepare to hit somebody or let somebody, hit your lol.
With that said I rest my case for this week.
Please check by next week for another thrilling episode of the lagos dream.
