The covid-19 pandemic has exposed religious activities around the world

"Religion was invented when the first con man met the first fool" - Mark Twain.

The covi-19 pandemic has exposed religious activities around the world. It has shown people that the word  “miracle “does not exist, and what people experience and see are just mere illusion and manipulation from people who  called themselves “Men of God”. Chuches and Mosques  have closed their doors and all religious activities stopped. Churches are being sanitised with  anti-virial  chemicals when you have holy water in the alter , and which now begs the question ;is antivirus chemical more effective than Holy water?

In the poorest continent of Africa nearly everyone believes and expects a miracle, and this mindset continued to plaque that continent with extreme poverty and hardship. This believe system and  mindset has created an environment  where people cannot achieve  anything without dedicating them to an invisible being. It has encouraged laziness, lack of motivation and no zeal to achieve anything. People believe if it is not sanctioned or ordained by God then the business or activity will never work. It is very sad that in the 21st century people continue to believe  in an unproven stories, beliefs  and dogmas which all  available evidence suggest to  be myth and allegorical , and   to fall prey for these so called “Men of God”

The only way to resolve the problem of Africa is to overhaul their educational system. Take for example, to introduce educational system where people are not only taught the effect and types of erosion but taught skills so they can innovate, develop, create and design erosion free cities and roads. This type of skill is called “critical thinking skills”.  Such skills would equip the younger generation to success in this fast improving world. It would equip them with all the necessary knowledge and mindset to tackle problems as they arise. It will give them an understanding to critically examine and question any subject, including religious narratives been perpetuated by “men of God” .,Africa needs effective and functional education for it to succeed and become a leading technological hub.
