PLATFORM TO MAKE FUNDING ACCESSIBLE!
Hello, my OwuPress friends. The new platform to make funding accessible is indeed a brilliant idea and offers opportunities to unlock our resourcefulness if used well.
I have also read a lot of anticipation within the comments posted the appetite to take up such funding and hints of relief of not being impacted by CRB listings over none performance on other lending platforms.
My advice to you all
1. Let us steer as much as possible from debt – we should try as much as we could to hustle and live in our brackets. Let us get satisfied with the small portion that we get each day.
2. Let us endeavor to live within our means – If we live within our means, we shall live a debt-free life at the end of the day. If you get a salary of 300 dollars, strive and live within that bracket. By doing so, you will evade debts.
3. Before borrowing, ask yourself, "Do I need this money?" And, "What alternatives do I have with what I already possess?" As well as, "Will I be able to repay comfortably?"
4. Learn to tell yourself "NO" if borrowing to fund recurrent expenditure (food, rent, bills, debts, lifestyle, etc.).
5. There is good debt... That which is repayable, generates more wealth, one that helps secure an asset or investment with an annual return or value appreciation than the borrowed interest rate plus fees.
8. There are exceptions to the above due diligence e.g. medical or one-off case where the cost of lost opportunity is greater than the risk/burden of debt.
9. Let us work with budgets. If we budget correctly, we will live correct. Budgets help us know what we want and what we can do without. If we train ourselves to budget, we will be able to live well without engaging in unnecessary budgets.
Let us take joy in using whatever talents and resourcefulness God has placed within each one of us. Let us increase and not decrease. Let us move us away from the culture of habitually borrowing money to drink or smoke. Let us move towards a culture of borrowing or being generous with brilliant ideas. Let's uplift each other with goodwill and abhor laziness.
1. Those at school - Aim high and work hard. Know the sky is not the limit. Strive and thrive.
2. Those in employment - Be diligent, honest and develop yourself. Keep Moving Forward.
3. Those who farm - Learn & adopt best practices. Utilize every patch of land sustainably. Where you can't farm, let bees and valuable trees work for you. Let us develop ourselves unceasingly.
4. Those in business - Let quality, passion, and honesty drive you. Not greed by inflating profit margins or supplying your job with substandard goods/services. Make customers your bosses and you will surely have a good business.
5. With God, all is possible and we are unlimited in potential. Without God, all is foolishness and vanity. Trust in God. Build a fantastic relationship with God. Amen.
