Selma is a young girl fresh college student from high school. She is 20 years old and grew up in a small village in Namibia. All her life she have been so quite, likes living alone and hardly makes friends.
In her early 19s she got admitted in one of the best colleges in her area due to her best perfomance in high school. She got a free hostel membership in the most expensive hostel in the campus. She is living alone.
All she have been doing since her first day in college is going to school, coming back to her precious room. She hardly go out, unless she is going to a nearby mall for shopping. Her neighbours in the hostel are always wondering if she is fine since they hardly see her. They were thinking she is a bad person and does all her dirties inside her room.
All thier thoughts were wrong until they found out she is just a quite naive girl. People of her character are called introverts.They like being alone and thier space is all that matters to them. Thier hearts are beatiful and thier souls are very caring. Thier circles are always very small, and the ones in them are the luckiest and they know it.
Selma enjoyes being in her room. She only have two friends and her boyfriend who she interacts with in the campus. Her friends comes over once in a while to visit because they know her character and they are very okay with it. Her boyfriend spends much of his time with her, and he enjoyes being around her. When she is quite, he understands , although he is always trying to keep her talking. He knows he is a very lucky boy to have an introverts'girlfriend because she is trustworthy, very humble and he treats her as the queen she is.
Selma never learned how to be an introvert but nature gave it to her. She hardly opens up in groups of people but when she is with her loved ones, she does. In class she is always quite at her own place. She only talks to teachers.
Although she enjoyes being herself, she knows there are and been and always be some opportunities in life which will pass by her because of her character. She tries in most cases to read newspapers and visit important places so she updates herself about what is happening in the world and to be able to see important informations for example vacancies, internships, and others.
Thats Selma. I wrote this article to pass on a message to all the naives quite introverts out there. Being an introvert is not a sickness. You were born one. I want you to know you are very unique human beings. Dont let your characters let opportunities pass by you. Talk to the few people you have in your circles whenever you have questions or you want to do something productive but you can not open up in nation, they will help you let your inside world come out. What you have inside of you is what the world needs to move on. Is what will help those in need of help. Is what will save lives. Talk it out to your loved ones and let them guide you bring it out to the world.
