Does really the way women dress provocate rapist? Does it really?
Dress, plays important role in our daily living. It's our fundamental process of living, basic necessity.
But the way we dress---is the way the other people account's women outer physical attributes. For an example ,wearing soul-revealing clothes like a sleeveless shirt, and an extremely short shorts could make you appear more something...liberated and wild, in result that person becoming a sexual desire object amongst the rapist for their male-fap-thing. As a with the long skirts, a long sleeve shirt can make you appear: shy girl, modest or something descriptive words synonyms to those making you look so reserved and feminish.
Entirely, all in all.. this means that the society depends their coping state by how the way we reflects in their eyes, on how we come out by the perception and discreetion of each other individuality. We become their basin of tons criticism, prolix blabb and audible rants.
And this were norms inside the continent of Asia, the country cited like: Japan, Thailand , China, Philippines,Vietnam ,Indonesia, South Korea, India and many more.
Ofcourse Asian countries are known for being conservative nation; having a conservative people inside their countryside .
I always remember my mom leaving me remark, "My dear, be reserved don't wear too much revealing,"
And my peer , classmates and friends saying:
"Don't wear that shorts, it's sucks."
"You look slut. Change your clothes, that's inappropriate for a young girl like you."
"Oh my god! I knew it, you look like a bar girl phishing for an expat!"
"My friend, just wear pants or something non-revealing."
As an Asian girl I can also prove you that this situation is for real.
Everyone here are being judge the way we carry dresses.We branded 'slut' 'flirt' 'disgusted shit' ,just by wearing a sleeveless, a skin revealing clothes. And we we're being dubbed as nerd ,just by wearing an akward long skirt, nunwise uniform going to school. And yeah, I'm being bullied with that.
So how can we adjust from the sight of people?Should we reversed the rotation of the earth from its orbit?
Uh.This one really sucks; the idea of clothes being the reasons to blame of an unstoppable rape and harrassment for the girls sucks.
So, again let's bring back the question "Does really wearing short shorts; how we dress provocates men and increases their libido?"
For my own judgement? I don't think so, it's all how men handle theirselves to restrain from doing such sexual explicit to women and girls.
And for a woman, fashion for them is an art. An art to be cherish, to live with a flowing passion and embrace with a full confidenct. Don't be shy, let you be the real one. Don't let yourself control by the society. Live with freedom, express your feelings the way you dress. But reminder we are all entitled but don't foget not to encompasses the boundary limits to the point that being detrimental is the exchange of it.
