The Iran’s former President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has declared COVID-19 a bioweapon from a military laboratory, He states that “It is clear to the world that the mutated coronavirus was produced in a lab.” His statement appears to echoes a claim made by US Senator Tom Cotton last month, but now, Professor Francis Boyle has exposed the “smoking gun” that he says proves this theory.
Although Ahmadinejad presented no evidence for his claim, there are several such claims flying around on social media . Though Ahmadinejad noted that "weakness or failure on the part of state officials in some countries...has had an effect on the size of the spread and the damage caused by the epidemic," he claimed that the true drivers were the unidentified laboratories that supposedly spread the illness
