Coronavirus has caused many damages but can it erase sports from people's minds?

Coronavirus disease is the most porpular word on earth as we speak and as it popularity grows it menace increases.

The death toll in some countries are growing. Important matches have been sespended, a lot of competitions are at risk of being suspended.

The virus hasn't just affected some sections of people but has affected sporting activities.

Table Tennis, Long Tennis, Formula 1 competitions have all been suspended

Football in Italy have also been suspended due to the fear of the spread of the disease.

The latest report coming out from Italy as reported by [@tancredipalmeri] on Twitter revealed that special scientific committee ordered by Italian prime-minister Giuseppe Conte have suggested to suspend all sporting events for 1 months after the Coronavirus outbreak.

Another report from L'Equipe on Twitter also reveals that Uefa does not envisage any postponements in the Champions League but possible closed doors for some matches involving Juventus vs Lyon and PSG vs Dortmund due to the spread of disease. This is how frightening the disease has become.

The Olympic games, which is the biggest sporting event on the planet Earth where lot of Athlete from different sports and countries across the world comes together in one competition to exhibit what they have gotten is under threat of been suspended, inspite of the billion dollars the organisers and countries hosting and preparing have invested in it.

However fresh reports coming out of SkySports News This Afternoon says The Premier League has written to its 20 clubs, advising on the latest contingency plans to deal with the spread of coronavirus.

The reports from SkySports reads: "League officials are liaising daily with the government's public health experts to provide up-to-the-minute advice on how best to counteract the spread of the virus".

"Fixtures lists and kick-off times remain unaffected".

The reports also goes further by saying:"clubs have been asked to consider the implications if the government were to ban large gatherings, leading to matches being played behind closed doors".

"They are also advised to cut down on non-essential visitors and keep face-to-face meetings to a minimum. Many countries and sports are also putting in precautionary measures to combat this disease in a way it won't stop the sporting activities and as well make the disease not to spread. It remain to be seen how long this deadly disease will be on the surface of the earth but i pray the health organisations across the world will be able to combat its spread and there will be no more spread of the disease and no more life lost.

I really hope this deadly disease will not erase sports from our minds.
