Buhari Release statement after first case of Coronavirus Tells Nigerians to remain calm

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday night, asked Nigerians not to be in a frenzy following the instance of Coronavirus that was recorded in the nation a week ago 

 

The president has additionally communicated his dismay over the spread of the infection to Nigeria. 

 

Garba Shehu, the representative to the president, in his announcement, urged Nigerians to focus on all the preventive measures offered by important bodies as opposed to yielding to fearmongering. 

 

"President Muhammadu Buhari notes with misery, the ongoing affirmation of an instance of Covid-19 disease in Lagos, Nigeria. 

 

"This was in spite of the vigorous endeavors of the administration with respect to readiness and reaction estimates set up in our nation's outskirts and past. 

 

"President Buhari, nonetheless, lauds the Government Service of Wellbeing and other significant offices whose determination and effectiveness empowered the case to be identified, analyzed and secluded immediately, even while quick measures were taken to distinguish and catch up on those with whom the record persistent came into contact. 

 

"The president recognizes the reactions of the Bureaucratic Service of Wellbeing and Legislatures of Lagos and Ogun States just as other pertinent offices to the detailed episode and calls for watchfulness with respect to all residents and mindful government offices," the announcement read.
