Calvin Klein, a clothing and lingerie firm, created an ad campaign this year depicting Roberto Bete, a pregnant trans male, and their girlfriend, Erica Feeha, a transgender woman, supposedly in honour of Mother's Day. Calvin Klein's campaign-launching Instagram post included a wide carousel of photographs depicting many facets of parenting, paying "tribute" to moms and women everywhere.
According to Argentine news source TN, the pair posed in the brand's underwear, with Roberto "taking advantage of the cameras" to show off their very pregnant tummy.
According to breitbart Roberto Bete, a Brazilian female-to-male transgender reality TV personality who was pregnant at the time of the shoot, appears in the campaign shirtless. Bete and her tattoo artist wife Erika Fernandes stand with open stomach and top-surgery scars in the images.
"We can procreate biologically or from the heart...our purpose in the world is to love and be loved," Roberto says in an unscientific quote on Instagram. Yikes.
The promotion appears to have gone down well on Instagram, with over 30,000 likes and 1,800 comments. On Twitter,

However, there has been some negative reactions to the ad

Calvin Klein has already used a transgender model in their underwear advertisements. Jari Jones, a male-to-female transgender activist, was featured in a 2020 Gay Pride ad wearing a sports bra.
