Archaeologists in Australia have discovered a massive ancient find that has been dubbed the 'Southern Titan' by experts. The colossal dinosaur is among the world's largest, standing higher than the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
The southern titan's length is believed to be between 25 and 30 metres long, or around a basketball court's length. The distance between its toes and the tops of its broad hips is approximately 5 to 6.5 metres, or about the height of a two-story home. Its bulk was more difficult to measure, but experts believe it weighed up to 74 tonnes, or the equivalent of nine African elephants.
These staggering figures place it in the top 10 to 15 largest dinosaurs ever discovered worldwide, and much beyond the midrange dinosaurs previously discovered in Australia. READ MORE
