5G is the next generation Wireless Technology Mobile Network after 4G LTE. It will define a broad range of industries with connected service in the field of retail, education, entertainment. 5G economic effects will be realised across the globe by 2035. 5G use cases are categorised as Enhanced Mobile Broadband, Mission Critical Communication and Massive IOTs. They are expected to deliver data upto 20gbps “G” systems were designed to improve mobile communication operations. Each new technology starting from 1G to 4G brought major improvement in speed and greatly increased network capacity. 5G also comprises giving higher network capacity at a faster rate and better performance of the devices connected to 5G.
Industries being effected by 5G: 1. Health Care 5G offers many opportunity for expanding for both preventative and montoring practices through wearable devices. Those devices are used to detect blood glucose level, physical activities etc. Microscopic cameras equipped with 5G will be able to provide real time streaming in and out of patient’s body. New kinds of wearables that track patient body around their daily lives are possible with 5G. 5Gs are used in robotic surgeries. They are capable to increase the doctors capacity to bring specialised care to their patients. Robotic Surgeries are possible in urban areas due to fast broadband internet but doctors and patients should be available at the same place to avail this facility. By awailing low latency and jitter free communication, 5G could avail operations that can be taken place from anywhere in the world.
2. Manufacturing Manufacturing industries have started to inculcate Machine Learning, IOT, to increase the efficiency, to improve the data collections and to build predictive data models. 5G made it possible with their broad range of sensors and devices that can integrate into their factories. Ericsson began their testing augmented reality trouble shootings in January 2018. They have observed a drastic shortening of time that it takes to complete the repair. 5Gs are continuously monitoring the equipment performance, visual recognition and predictive analysis.
3. Automotive Industry Tesla, Google are building self-driving vehicles that are capable of navigating environment without the human intervention. They use radars to scan the environment around the vehicle and they uses 5G technology. The vehicle are in testing phase today, but they believe that 5G would truly permit autonomous driving in furure.
4. Retail Retailers have invested a huge amount on smart technologies to help customers to shop more efficiently, collect information from the customers for their better customer experience. 5G has the capacity to have a large impact on retailers from store analytics to visual recognition. It has the ability to create the new type o shopping experience that would be an augmented application on our smart phone. 5. Entertainment The media giants like Fox, Warner are already exploring the 5G technology. They are capable of live streaming with high quality pictures. Amazon and Dish Networks are jointly building and supporting 5G network. It will affect the download speed and TV shows, movies can be downloaded in seconds without any hassel. They have transformational effect on Augumented Reality(AR) and Virtual Reality(VR).
